I have just begun to explore options in this space for the same purpose. I started by trying to create a LinkedIn company page coupled with a private activities group, but that failed for a couple of different reasons. First, many people are averse to social media of any kind, LinkedIn included. Second, that platform didn't appear to notify group members in real time with a notification when posts were made.
At my previous employer, we used MS Teams frequently for group engagement, and that was fairly successful among client management type personnel. I have not used the same tool with physicians before. Since we do not have Office across our entire platform, I am not pursuing that option at this time.
I have begun using Slack, and preliminary tests show much more promising results. It is simple enough in that it's just one app that doesn't require a social media presence. Notifications are done in real time. This isn't fully rolled out yet with our group, but I expect this might be our preferred route.
I suppose it's notable that I haven't yet tried to use Google Chat, which might be another option. Since we already have G Suite, that is another feature within that platform. I'm toying with the idea of testing this as well just because it's relatively simple and it already exists within the Google ecosystem.

Subject: Collaboration Software - recommendations for analyst
Hello - It looks like email communication on projects has finally reached a head, and the practice wants to explore collaboration platforms. I did a bit of you tube-ing this weekend and it appears Slack and Microsoft Teams are two options. I lean towards MS Teams since we already pay for this as part of Office 365, and an article or two gave it a slight edge over Slack.
Two questions:
1) Are you using collaboration tools for your practice projects spanning radiologist committees, and have any wisdom to share?
2) Do you have a consultant who helped do template set up and training for MS Teams. Not for the virtual meetings or chat, but the integration of project planning tools, and wiki and file storage etc.
Thanks for sharing.
