Hi John
Yes, that's correct, and in my experience applies to all payors.

Subject: Reading for a mobile service
I'm working with a client that will be reading images (x-ray, mammo, DEXA, ultrasound) for a mobile service that will be operating in facilities such as nursing homes, SNF's and prisons. The question is how to properly report the location and POS on the professional service claim. My understanding is that the POS code is the one where the patient had the exam (POS 9 = prison, POS 15 = mobile unit, etc.) and that the address should be wherever the radiologist is reading from, at least for Medicare. Does this sound right? And what about non-Medicare payers?
Thanks in advance for your wisdom!
John
