Our organization is dedicated to meeting the needs of all members-regardless of group size, characteristics, or practice setting.
Recently, in a thread on this Practice Management Forum, a group of radiology practice managers expressed interest in networking specifically with peers managing small to mid size radiology practices. Recognizing the value of these connections, RBMA leadership facilitated focus group meetings to support this request and better understand their unique needs.
These discussions highlighted the distinct challenges small to mid size practice administrators face, such as wearing multiple hats, managing a broad scope of responsibilities, and limited resources to address operational demands.
By networking, these leaders shared solutions, discussed overcoming obstacles, and explored ways to collaborate on common issues. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with a strong desire to continue these focused conversations.
To support this effort moving forward, RBMA leadership will assist in organizing future meetings and networking opportunities. We're reaching out to identify other small to mid size practice administrators interested in participating in this group.
What defines a small practice group?
- 2–30 Physician FTEs
- Administrative staff of 4 FTEs or fewer (excluding clinical, billing staff)
- Employed by a radiology practice
RBMA recognizes there are other voices outside of the criteria listed above that could contribute to these conversations and our team is working on ways to involve these groups in meaningful and helpful ways while honoring the request of our small practice members. Please stay tuned.
- The next Small Radiology Practice Virtual Forum is planned for early next year.
- A Small Practice Think Tank has been added to the 2025 PaRADigm annual meeting.
