  • 1.  Advance Payment Program - repayment

    Forum - I recall seeing a couple weeks ago that a letter from multiple state medical societies and organizations such as the ACR and RBMA(?) was written to CMS requesting changes to repayment of the Medicare Advance Payment program. Since reading about it I have not heard anything new. Any idea if there has been any change on this front?

    As president of the foundation, it is hard to believe it has only been a year since our start date for the foundation. When we started planning in 2018 I said, "Have a plan and do your homework". Everyone on the board then started working hard to make the Radiology Business Management Foundation a reality. After just one year we have achieved an important milestone.
    Thank you staff, board, foundation trustees, Bob and most of all thank you to all the donors.

    Friends and Colleagues,

    I know that you have heard A LOT about MIPS.  I wanted to be sure that you are aware of what will be covered by the "MIPS" presentation on Founders' Day!  Please see below. 

     

    I am thankful for the founders of the RBMA!  RBMA and all my RBMA friends help make me more successful.  Time to pay it forward.

    Most physicians are familiar with MIPS but not necessarily where, how and which MIPS data is used.  We will look at the various ways that MIPS data affects the physicians and what makes it to the Physician Compare website.  We will also discuss how physicians will be affected if they elect to take advantage of the CARE ACT Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances and not report on MIPS for 2020.
