A wise radiologist told me many years ago that we fail to see Stop Signs in our daily actions. He equated this with radiologists that review images and don't see the Stop Sign that will enable the right interpretation. As radiology business professionals it is the same thing. I thought about this when I read a post today regarding one of our RBMA member and sponsors who had a rate increase go out in error. No harm, no foul, right?
In this time of great crisis and anxiety the Stop Signs we see are even more important. I've heard many statements over the last 30 days that remind me of this and this morning's post was no different.
Let's keep the chatter going. It's really important for our success as radiology business leaders. It's important for our physicians and employees. If someone or some organization runs through a Stop Sign let's just gently remind them that it's not the best habit to get into.
Another great saying is the best way to move a herd of cattle is slowly.
Perhaps that's true of managing a group of physicians today.
