Happy Friday!  I am wondering if any of you are involved with postmortem CT Scans at all – question has been brought up by one of our facilities. I'm expecting this would normally be requested by the Coroner, and obviously interpretation is NOT reimbursed in the typical manner (filing to insurance). So looking for guidance if any of you have this in place as it relates to processes (requests, how they're logged, reporting structure, do all of your rads participate, etc.),  how you are recouping your time/professional interpretation fees (through the Coroner's office or ??), and how long you've had the process in place and idea on volumes (knowing that our geographic demographic will be far different from the next).

Feel free to respond directly if you'd prefer, this is not your typical topic.

    Thank you in advance,

    Michelle
