Does anyone know if there has been any progress made in getting CMS to pay for LDCTs in an IDTF?  We are still getting denials on ours.

RBMA has been very active with a coalition of organizations including (ACR, AQI and the Lung Cancer Alliance) to encourage CMS to issue a 'change request' to the February, 2015 NCD that would allow reimbursement for LDCT in an IDTF setting.  In fact, this was a primary issue that RBMA members to members of Congress on our Hill Day last week.  On Tuesday, October 2^nd a bi-partisan letter was sent to HHS Secretary Alex Azar and CMS Administrator Seema Verma co-signed by 37 members of Congress encouraging reimbursement of LDCT in an IDTF setting.  I would encourage all RBMA members to send this letter and a note to their member of Congress encouraging support of this initiative.   I probably don't need to remind RBMA members that all 435 members of Congress are up for reelection so this is very good timing to seek support.  The letter is attached.
