This morning our group and our imaging center received deposits from US HHS. Did anyone else get this and if so is this a grant with forgiveness?

We have 31 equal owners, and did not have to list them individually on the application (which was accepted by the SBA).  I did provide a shareholder list to the bank based on their initial projected document request early last week, but my impression is that probably wasn't actually necessary.

I think the application is pretty clear that you only have to list 20% owners.  I would tell the bank to submit and see what happens.  If you get rejected, I don't think you're worse off than you are now.

Paul - That's an initial grant from the Provider Relief Fund. We also received an email on the subject today, so I was a bit surprised when the money showed up at essentially the same time.

I received an email from HHS indicating the payment is coming within two weeks. The email expressly states these are payments to providers, not loans and does not need to be repaid.

    https://www.hhs.gov/provider-relief/index.html

Per the email, there is an attestation you must sign beginning the week of 04/13/2020.

This appears to be a GAME CHANGER.

    Thanks, Tom

The terms and conditions may be worth reading carefully.  I think the one prohibiting use of the funds to pay salaries above Executive Level II (which I think is $189,600) might be problematic for many hospital based groups.

I don't think there is interplay between this and PPP loan proceeds forgiven, but would be interested in knowing if anyone reads it differently.

Might have to bone up on fund accounting here with all of these restricted use dollars in play.

We did too. Advance MC payment. It was much lower than I expected. More like 1 month of MC payments. They will start recouping it in 120 days unless something changes with a new round of relief.

Read the terms and conditions- it's a trick bag.  No strings is not necessarily the way this will work.  I am working with my hospital system, billing company, cpa and attorneys to determine how we will use this and show documentation.

We did not receive an email. Just the eft. I assumed it was the Advance Payment since I submitted that request on Monday.

Even better news if it’s the relief money and does not need to be repaid. I was under the impression the first tranche of relief was going to hospitals. Either way, we’ll keep it!
