  • 1.  PPP Forgiveness - update from my bank

    Is it a grant, a gift, or taxable income?

    Why are the criteria to ensure it's non-taxable - as originally promised?

    For now even my bank doesn't know...as below

    I've recently rec'd a few calls regarding the status of PPP forgiveness, so I thought I'd send out this update. 

    Basically, there's been no change.  Banks are in a holding pattern waiting for the SBA to finalize the process. 

    Politico published an article yesterday that provides a little more color.

    Timely questions!  RBMA will be doing a series of webinars starting in October covering this topic and Provider Relief Fund reporting, which is now intertwined with PPP after the Sept. 19 updated guidance from HHS.  I think you will be seeing an announcement later this week.
