CMS has announced changes to the Local Coverage Determination Process (LCD).
In announcing the changes to bring more transparency to the process CMS noted that: "Through feedback received in the proposed Calendar Year (CY) 2018 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Rule (82 FR 33950), and through meetings and correspondence; stakeholders, including providers and healthcare associations, have provided CMS with valuable insight regarding modernization of the LCD process."
