We have received notice from Optum Pay, formerly known as Electronic Payments & Statements (EPS), they are releasing a paid version of Optum Pay. This is a portal my staff uses heavily as we manage all of our UnitedHealthcare payments and payments from other companies within the UnitedHealthcare product line. If a practice stays with the free version they are limited to 2 users, will no longer be able to create remittance PDF, or access historical remittances after 30 days. The charge to use the paid version of Optum Pay is 0.5% per total payment amount, which in our practice adds up quickly. I am not sure how a large organization will be able to limit themselves to 2 users . Also to not be able to have the ability to create PDF versions of remittances seems a bit heavy handed. Are most of your practices switching over to the paid version?
