Hello,
Our Physician Assistant performed a Lumbar Puncture Blood Patch (CPT Code 62273) and we are receiving a denial from WPS stating Medicare can only allow this procedure when billed by an approved specialty.
The Physician Assistant is credentialed under specialty code 97.
Does anyone have PA's performing this service? If so, are you receiving payment from Medicare?
