    Hello,
I am interested if anyone has a dedicated full time DEXA reader?
And if so, what kind of volume ( in study count) does he/she produce in a day and/or week?

To take this off line please feel free to send me a private message.
    Thanks and Happy Friday!

    Kerri,

We have a unique situation.  We have two radiologists who read the DEXA exams (1/3 of the total system's volume).  1/3 of the total DEXA exams are read by an endocrinology group and 1/3 of the exams are read by some doctors employed by our hospital's multi-specialty clinic.

Our hospital pays a flat fee for each DEXA exam (We cannot share fees on this forum).   Our hospital bills globally and pays us directly. I think they use the DEXA as a loss leader to bring in more patients.

Please contact me via email at jayradiology@sbcglobal.net or at 417-894-0878 if you have any questions or want more information. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
