We have several breast cancer memorial quilts that have patient's first and last names only either printed or stitched into the quilts. We are no longer going to use/display these beautiful quilts. So our question is - how should we proceed in the disposal of these quilts in regards to HIPAA/Compliance rules? Has anyone ever had to deal with this sort of situation and if so, how did you go about with disposal of the items. Thanks in advance for any advice.
