    Forum - Any idea where I might find current data on radiologist productivity nationally (or regionally)? Trying to compare our radiologists to the average. I couldn't find anything on the ACR website.

    Rick – I am unaware of any good source of the data you are looking for.... There is fantastic data for the academic practices, but community-based practices not so much. The last article I remember from the ACR was back in 2017 I believe which is no longer relevant..... I have had success contacting associated in RCMs to seeing if they would share the general wRVU per radiologist for their clients. Many will since it is not practice specific or identifiable data. I have some number as well if you want to talk....

    I will be following this thread as I too would like better data on this.  You can get very broad data from valuation companies that use surveys and averages, but regional information or information broken down by hospital-based vs office-based is hard to find.

    The AMGA and MGMA produce productivity and compensation reports annually broken out by region.  I believe radiology is included but not sure overall how much value it really provides.  They typically break down the respondents into categories (academic vs private practice, etc.)

    Historically, the RBMA has shied away from making this information public, as it potentially could give CMS information, we might not want them to readily have. I don't know if this is still the Board's position or not.

    The biggest problem with both of those is that the number of participants is very low, so they are not really statistically significant or accurate. But they are a source....
