  • 1.  Revised "Final" 2022 MIPS Adjustments

    Posted 09-28-2021 13:51

As in past years, CMS yesterday posted revised "final" 2022 MIPS adjustments, I guess accounting for appeals to the original "final" results under budget neutrality.  As usual, it's not good news

CMS Updates 2020 MIPS Performance Feedback and 2022 MIPS Payment Adjustments
On 9.27.2021 the QPP sent notification that several corrections were identified and updated including:
        • Complex Patient Bonus Correction for Medicare Shared Savings Program ACOs
        • Patient-Reported Outcome Measure Correction
        • Additional Adjustment for Exceptional Performance to Align with Budget Neutrality

As a result, CMS updated the max upward payment adjustment for PY2020 to 1.87% from the originally published 2.2%.

I have attached the announcement sent out through the QPP listerv on 9.27.2021.
