Can anyone recommend a RIS that might be a good solution for a new start up imaging center (MR and CT), requiring minimal upfront work/capital?

    Thanks

I'd like to follow this chain.

We currently have Merge/IBM. We have been with them many years, but are not happy with their progress in technology over the last 5 years and are looking. Are top 2 front runners currently are MedInformatix and Fuji EIS (we also have Fuji PACs).

    Thanks,

Ashley, I implemented and used MedInformatix from 2008 to 2016 at my last group using not only the RIS, but the full revenue cycle management part as well.  I highly recommend MedInformatix especially with the latest feature enhancements around online patient scheduling, dashboard reporting, etc.   Very robust system with great support.  It would be my top choice if I was in the market for a new RIS/Billing system.

We have been using Medinformatix for over a decade at our practice and I agree with John.

    David,
My clients have had good luck with eRAD. They have a cloud-based solution which is inexpensive at the entry level. This also takes some of the setup issues (servers, etc.) off of the user. The best thing though IMHO is they won't outgrow it. eRAD has single center clients on up to some of the largest imaging center chains in the country. They also have a fully bi-directional interface with Imagine's billing software.
