  • 1.  Radiologists temporarily reading from home - locality documentation?

    Posted 04-22-2020 15:56
Many of our rads are reading from home during the pandemic and are in the same locality for Medicare payment purposes.  Can the RBMA offer any commentary on the specificity of their read locations in regards to CSM requirements?    Short of credentialing every temporary location, which is impractical at this time, is there any direction that can be offered?   How are other practices handling read location documentation for their physicians reading from home?

Hi Dennis, Medicare established temporary enrollment hotlines for this very purpose of adding temporary billing addresses for your at home work.  This is being done under the Section 1135 waivers.  We got the privileges added in a matter of about 10 days but is retro to March 1st.  The enrollment hotline varies by MAC.
