    Please join me in welcoming some new guests to the RBMA Practice Management Forum for the month of June! We have 19 prospective members who have registered for our "Membership for a Month" promotion allowing them to sample a selection of benefits available to RBMA members.     Welcome to the home of "Progress through Sharing"!   The value from being a member of RBMA can be experienced almost immediately from the day you open your email and see the RBMA Forum discussions between members sharing best practices from management to coding.  I hope you get the same value as I do from up to date legislative news, questions regarding coding,  as well as keeping track of the latest CMS updates.   Not to mention, if you have a practice business question, you will most certainly find the answers here on the Forums, which is in itself invaluable.

    Welcome! I think you’ll find yourself signing up for full membership before the month ends. The RBMA members are amazingly knowledgeable, helpful, and truly some of the best resources around. It took me one conference to fall in love with this organization and start volunteering as much as I was able.

    As a "new kid" coming to my current position from outside of healthcare, I became a member in a number of industry associations.  "Join any industry organizations you want, but you must join RBMA," is what I was told from one of our senior partner physicians.  Sage advice that has served me well.  While some of the other associations have their place, without a doubt RBMA's Progress Through Sharing helped me bend the learning curve to my favor exponentially.  I cannot say enough about the professional and personal relationships that I've developed at RBMA. 

     

    I hope you enjoy your "Membership for a Month."  The many forums-this one in particular-will help you quickly see the knowledge, collegiality, and value in RBMA.  Don't hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other members this month if you have any questions about RBMA.  We'd love to hear from you.

    "Guests" - Welcome to the party.  You have made a wise decision.  I have been a proud member and active participant in RBMA for over 20 years. This is the place to be if you have chosen this profession.  RBMA is THE Association dedicated to the Business of Radiology.

    I am certain you will transition to full member status quickly.  I encourage you to actively participate in the Forms.  As my friend Tim Barrett stated so elegantly "The Only Stupid Question is the One You Don't Ask". We are all excited to welcome and benefit from new voices willing to share with your fellow members.  Ask questions, seek advice, weigh in on the important matters of influence on our profession. Weigh in with your unique knowledge and expertise - Share! We constantly need and value new voices.

    You have chosen a great profession.  Your practice owners will depend upon you to provide them with best practices and insights into the Business of Radiology while they focus on clinical practice.  Share what you learn from your RBMA colleagues with your owners - doing so will demonstrate your value to the organization and raise your visibility as a leader upon whom they can depend.
