  • 1.  Scheduling Weekend Call

    Does your group link radiologist weekend call so that Fri night/Sat/Sun call are linked together, or do you split the weekends?
    I manage the schedule for 3 radiology groups.  2 link Sat/Sun call and 1 does not link weekend call.

    Our docs work Sat and Sun (day and day, or night and night) and get Monday off.

    We don't schedule split weekends.  Occasionally there may be trades that result in splits.

    Janet -  We do both.   45% of the group prefers linking Friday night call with Saturday and Sunday call shifts.    55% prefers not to link.   We attempt to schedule to their preference, but don't promise.   We too provide Monday off for covering weekend call.
