    Seems we battle this tired issue every couple years.
    Latest is BCBS denying dopplers with pelvic US.

    I guess BCBS has hired this front company Cotiviti to run interference with the providers.  One more layer of crap to get through before you find someone with a brain.

    We will run the traps to get this edit overturned, bill the patients if we have to, sometimes they are the only ones that can get the attention of the payer.

    You may want to check your claims for these denials.
    Oh - and a wonderful morning to everyone in the RBMA world!!!!!!

    Thanks we have started seeing this as well as suddenly denials on transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic US.
