Hello Rich,
Great questions! We have trialed a few different scenarios and made adjustments based on our referring physician and patient feedback that we received. Each of these types of customer's wants are very different things on this topic which makes it more challenging.
- We provide the full diagnostic report on the patient portal 15 days after the report is finalized. We do not post the images.
- Upon patient request, we can push the report out immediately after it is finalized to the patient's portal.

Subject: Radiology Reports in Patient's MyChart
This may be a better question for a survey but I am interested in groups that are giving access to imaging reports via their patient portals and their experience when implementing. My specific questions / concerns are:
- Is this done only upon request or are you pushing everything? Are you limiting to certain modalities or exams? For example not pushing biopsy procedure results.
- What is the delay in availability if any? For example do you push after 72 hours of report final?
- Do you send the entire report or just impression? I have also heard some groups provide a "layman" impression. This obviously adds significantly to the radiologist workload.
- Do you provide a disclaimer or instructions on who to call to discuss results? Do you drive these calls back to the ordering provider or the imaging department?
- Do you push just report or Images as well?
Thanks in advance !
Rich
