Is anyone else out there receiving Pro fee denials from Noridian (So. California Medicare)? We were told we needed to bill the tracer code with the study in order for these to get paid; however, we are Pro Fee billing and that would be inappropriate. It is the Amyvid tracer for 748814 to determine plaque in the brain for Alzheimer or pre-Alzheimer disease. We are billing with the correct Q0 modifier and Z00.6 but are being denied as non-oncologic. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
