  • 1.  NPP Supervision of Diagnostic Tests

    Hello Forum,
I am interested in hearing forum member views on the 2021 MPFS Final rule that allows Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants the ability to supervise diagnostic tests if allowed by state law/licensure, etc.   As I understand, prior to this change, Medicare regulations prohibited NP/PA from supervising diagnostic tests regardless of what state licensure law permitted. I see this as an opportunity to allow NP/PA to work at the top of their scope of practice allowed by state law.  Your insights, input, and opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Bravo!

    Makes total sense, Linda.

And...if I had an adverse reaction to MRI contrast injection wouldn't I be best served by a fully-qualified EMT who sees and treats trauma every day?
