  • 1.  National Provider Data Bank?

    Good Morning Forum,
    I've looked at the NPDB site to try to determine if this is a permissible use, but can't find it. Can a practice that is in the process of hiring a radiologist query the NPDB for details on an applicant?

    We tried to access it during recruiting but were unsuccessful.  

    Our malpractice company recommended that we ask a recruit to complete a malpractice application (before a job offer or even the actual interview) and the malpractice company would do some analysis on our behalf.

    I believe another option is to ask the candidate to do a self-query and provide a copy.

    I'm not involved with my current group's employment, but....

    Back when I worked for a Derm/Plastic group, a review of a current copy of an applicant's NPDB was a condition prior to any potential employment offer.
