Our group has been participating in an ACO for the past several years. We were precluded from participating in a second ACO because we employed NP's who are treated as primary care. We no longer have NP's and would like to join the second ACO. This ACO is requiring us to be exclusive to their ACO even though we are allowed to participate in several ACOs as specialists. Has anyone else run up against this obstacle?
I feel their stance is ill advised, as we all know how many patient encounters there are with radiology in the hospital. It's a great opportunity for this hospital partner to have us on board. They will provide no justification for their stance.
Any groups being told they must be exclusive?
Thank you!
