I copied the list of draft LCDs reviewed and links to a few of the topics mentioned during last week's CAC meeting immediately below. I also attached a draft copy of the meeting minutes. All are specific to Jurisdictions J5 (IA, KS, MO, NE Providers) and J8 (IN, MI).
There was little radiology-oriented information discussed at the meeting, although I suppose there are some groups that may want to pay attention to the post-Covid emergency telehealth HIPAA rules.
The role of the CAC has changed from what it was years ago when much of the CAC's work dealt with imaging related coverage decisions. That does not seem to be the case today. Having said that, I still encourage RBMA members to monitor what is going on in your CACs and work with the ACR to keep a watchful eye out for radiology-oriented policies.
