Hello,
We have an employed physician providing interpretations for diagnostic imaging from another state for patients who have received services at our imaging center.<u1:p></u1:p>
I understand, I have to bill the interpretation with a 26 modifier and the interpreting physician's information to the Medicare MAC where he is reading.<u1:p></u1:p>
My question is concerning the TC claims…<u1:p></u1:p>
Do I need to bill the TC claim using the interpreting physician or would I bill the TC claim using the physician who was present and supervising the study at the imaging center on the DOS when the patient was seen?<u1:p></u1:p>
