Our practice is experiencing significant issues with UHC insurance changing our providers status from par to non-par, stating they haven't received revalidation and now asking for us to complete another 18 page 110 column document on all of our providers of which we had already completed previously 1 month ago and we have not changed anything on our end.  We are not getting anywhere with the reps that we are speaking to, does anyone have insight?

    Frustrated!

    Jennifer,
Yes, we experienced something very similar.
It took us almost a year to get resolution and it was only because we got the patients involved.
I'd be happy to talk to you about it in more detail.
    Feel free to reach out.

Oh the stories of United.  We had some of our imaging centers mysteriously become OON and went down a rabbit hole with our provider rep (???) telling us we were billing wrong, had the wrong POS code on the claim, wrong rendering location, blah blah blah.

When we tried to explain, we have used the same POS code for over 20+ years, use the same POS code for all payors, she simply refused to listen to logic and continued to place the blame on our billing practices.  Just to amuse the rather vacuous individual we complied with nor resulting change in claim adjudication.

I finally reached out to UHCs VP of national provider networks and this got things moving.

my understanding is UHC has finally realized they have issues with their rad providers and now has a "global workgroup".

persistence and plenty of patience when working with these people.  Logic is not part of their repertoire.
