    Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    I manage an imaging center that is part of a JV between the rads and the hospital.  One of the partners has asked me for some comparative metrics to other imaging centers.  I have explained that an apples to apples comparison would be difficult to find because of the many variables that exist between any two centers.  [Hours and days of operation, number of modalities, where in the purchase cycle a facility might be, etc].  I am certain though, there are some basic standards that might apply across the industry.  I have a meeting next week to share my findings, so literally any info, or comments on the following expenses would be greatly appreciated.  It can be an range of a percent compared to revenue [personnel expense to patient fees], or a basic standard amount [contracted reading fees are 'X' percent of income].  We are a basic center and we do:
    • MRI, CT, US, Mammography including tomo, ABUS, Bone Density, X-ray,biopsies and fluro.

    The 5 expenses I am interested in are:
    • Personnel Expense [Admin, technical or overall];
    • Reading fee arrangements [including management fee if it applies];
    • Supply expenses;
    • Interest expense, and;
    • maintenance and/or equipment expense.

    Your response will be kept confidential.  Feel free to reach out to me separately at jstrausbaugh@santafeimaging.com.

    Respectfully,
