    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to remind you the RBMA Accounts Receivable Survey is fresh off of an "extreme makeover"! The RBMA Data Committee, in conjunction with Quinsite, has overhauled one of RBMA's signature products and services to its members. Through a new survey platform, RBMA has made it easier to submit an individual set of data for one practice. Large billing companies and groups will now be able to upload a flat file of data to submit their information. This reinvigorated survey will allow for better benchmarking and analytics. As always, any organization that submits data will be provided the results of this survey for free. The A/R Survey will launch on April 1 and will be available through April 30.

That's great news - I feel like I haven't heard anything about the survey in quite some time. Will there be an announcement emailed to RBMA members?

I have always participated in this Survey when given the opportunity. It has been a great resource.

A group I am working with is concerned about privacy and release of information that would alert an outside source of who they may be. There are not that many groups their size in their geographical area.

I guess what I am asking is: what protection is provided to not release this information to an outside source who would be able to decipher that groups that responded and who they may be.

    Does that make sense?

Hi Linda - Yes your question makes perfect sense and thank you for asking.  First and foremost, the underlying submitted data will NOT be provided to any external source and will only be used internally to create the benchmarks.  Secondly, in order to have statistical valid results we need at least several practices in each bucket for comparison purposes. So while there will be ways to filter the comparison benchmarks to region, size, etc. members will not be able to multi-select if that makes sense.  So a compare can be done of East vs West Region or Small vs Large practice but we will not allow the ability to filter to East based, small practices, that are XYZ as not only would that allow for certain practices to potentially be identifiable it would also not make the results statistically meaningful.

The security and privacy of this data in our top priority and not even the RBMA stuff will have access to view the details.
