    Rick,

We use  vRad for finals from 7:00 pm - 7:30 am.  Our rads have the opportunity to read the exams after hours instead of having them sent to vRad.  Our rads are paid the average collectible amount per CPT code they read after deducting the billing fee.

Due  to the worse payer mix overnight, vRad charges a monthly stipend since they bill and collect for all exams they read.  Our hospital actually holds the vRad contract and pays the monthly stipend.  Unfortunately, our group is integrating with our hospital 1-1-20.  All radiologists have accepted the employment offers from our hospital.

    Have a nice Thanksgiving.
