  • 1.  Internal Billing vs Outsourcing

    Good morning,
      Would anyone be willing to share their experience offline about internal billing services vs outsourcing to a billing company? We only bill PC for about 630k exams and would like to know the pros and cons from folks that may have had both internal and outsourced.

    We outsource our billing and find many benefits to it.  It is a one stop shop with our billing company - we don't have to worry about changing personnel and coverage needs; up to date coding changes are always communicated to us; software updates; daily reports. We outsourced our billing a couple of years and could not be happier.

    We outsource, too.

    Less expensive (at least for us - six MRI centers) than doing it in-house.

    I highly recommend that everyone consider offloading this tedious, difficult job.​
