  • 1.  2023 Extremity Ultrasound - Medicare Fee Schedule Changes

    Hello,

    It appears in 2023 there is not a 26/TC split component billing for CPT Codes 76881 or 76882 on the Medicare Fee Schedule. Could this be an error? Why these codes can no longer be split component billed makes no sense.

     

     

    How do you plan on billing/collecting for this service when it is provided in the hospital setting?

    Hi Kim,

    After I saw your question, I reviewed MPFS and noticed the new US Extremity Nerve code, 76883 has the same issue. I emailed MPFS, when I hear back, I will share the information. I would guess this must be an error.
