Hello -  I am seeking information on CT lung reads and AI tools that your practice has implemented or considered.  I'm not attending Sync or RSNA so any info you can share on the forum would be good.     My practice has been waiting for the technology to evolve so we don't get inundated with false findings and have to clear them thus extending the read times like in the old breast cad days.

Learned yesterday of a practice that is reading 10 CT lungs/hour with the use of AI and the inference was the tools were very helpful.

Thanks for any industry knowledge you can share.

    Hi Beth

We piloted some of the Aidoc algorithms, and the reviews were pretty positive.  The challenge is figuring out how to pay for it.  I think the ROI is more significant for a hospital than a radiology group.  We're working on trying to get our hospital partners to pitch in.

Thanks for posing the question.  I will be interested to hear others experience.  Definitely interested in tools that can help improve radiologist productivity at a reasonable cost.

Looked at Riverrain for outpatient imaging centers, and could not afford the price given nearly total Medicare reimbursement.

Beth – I would suggest you reach out to a company I have been very impressed with in this realm – Ferrum Health. They are a platform/orchestrator that have numerous algorithms from a large number of vendors that handle lung nodules and other areas of concern like mammography, or PE, etc. I have a few clients that are working with them and I have just been impressed with the breadth of their offerings, they service and their attention to the success of the client. Let me know if  you would like me to connect you to them.....
