For those of you that use teleradiology (where the professional read occurs in a different state), are those out-of-state radiologists enrolling in your state as well (where the technical component occurs)?

I recently heard that it is not required to enroll the teleradiologist in the same state where the TC occurs... which makes sense because you are split billing.. and only billing their professional read.

another question to the group on this topic:

As I understand the rules:

• no overseas reading and still able to bill medicare
• but, what about overseas on a military base?

have not found any exceptions to the rule, so suspect not allowed, but would like to know if anyone else has researched this?
