Dear RBMA members,
We have a health system for which there is a new imaging center being built. It is across the street from the Hospital's ER department. Our Radiology group will provide interpretations for this imaging center . The Health System states that their accrediting body requires that the radiology group provide an ACLS (or similar) certified radiologist that needs to be on-site during contrast exams. We understand being on site during contrast exams, but is the responsibility of being ACLS certified with the radiologists or does the imaging center need to provide? We read at several imaging centers and have never been required to provide an ACLS certified radiologist on site.
Thank you!
