Hello,
I was having discussions with our accountant today and wanted to get some feedback on how practices recognize revenue and the state / local government from which it is generated. Do groups that have remote readers recognize the revenue those readers generate in their home states for the purpose of filing state and local taxes? If your practice is in Ohio for example (and images are captured in Ohio), but you have a remote reader generating billable reports in Hawaii, does your group file a state return in Hawaii to account for the revenue generated in the state of that remote reader?
We have just begun having remote readers and want to make sure we handle this correctly. Thanks for any feedback you guys may have.
