Jennifer - We use Qgenda. Their analyst indicates the people they find the most successful are those who perform jigsaw puzzles as a hobby. We use a team of people to support the process. An admin assistant, some reception personnel, and then a Scheduling Committee comprised of 3 radiologists to audit, provide policy updates and frankly run interference. The role requires knowledge of seat subspecialty requirements, physician preferences and solid diplomacy skills and a backbone. We had to create an audit tool that exports the Qgenda assignments to a 3rd party proprietary database that uses audit rules for finding errors. Qgenda has many alerts, but it's easy for the team to overlook or blow by, so the audit tool has been immensely helpful. In my experience, it takes literally years of training for them to become competent so invest in someone who has a long career horizon and a willingness to team. Good luck.
