  • 1.  NO SHOW FEE FOR RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS

    Posted 02-17-2022 14:32
Does anyone have a no show fee policy for services that require use of radiopharmaceuticals?  Newer radiopharmaceuticals are rather expensive and I am questioning if I can charge a no show fee.
    Thanks.

We have the patient sign and a responsibility of payment prior to their exam, if they end up being a no-show. We instituted such about a year ago.

How do you handle the very expensive radiopharmaceuticals? There is one that costs over $4700.

How much of a no show fee can you possibly charge?

Another question on the same topic. Are you able to get a separate authorization for the pharma in addition to a PET scan?

We are new to PET and learning as we go. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
