Good morning colleagues,
You may or may not be aware that People's Health has announced that they have aligned with UHC and are their affiliate. The letter they sent states participation with People's Health terminates Jan 1, 2024, and we are now considered an Optum Health affiliate under our existing contract with Optum. You will remain in network with People's Health and will still be able to work with our PH reps.
It also says under the Reimbursement heading: Per your Optum agreement, the addition of these plans does not change your reimbursement. The Optum MA payment appendix governs the reimbursement. But the problem is that under the People's Health agreement, the reimbursement was indeed different.
Are any of you arguing this reimbursement did indeed change and if we are still in network with PH, that reimbursement should be assigned? Is there any leg to stand on? Just seeking opinions here.
