  • 1.  Has anyone used Rivet Health for patient cost estimator?

    We just had a call with a company called Rivet Health that works as a patient cost estimator.  Has anyone had any experience with this company/program? If so were there any challenges or positive feedback using this product?  Also I am interested in other practice who they use for getting benefits for patients prior to being seen.

    I am not familiar with Rivet.  We evaluated Royal Pay which had some great offerings but also found our existing RIS (ADS Medics) has this tool so we are going to use this.

    We also spoke to Rivet Health and are also curious if anyone has had any experience with them.  They want to provde their insurance reimbursement audit services for our practice which in theory sounds like a benefit.  Before we proceed, I asked them for some references which they are hesitant to provide until they speak in more detail to our Billing team.  They keep referring me to their customer testimonials on their website.

    Hi Diane,

    We've also recently spoken with Rivet and are considering them as a patient cost estimator.  We are fairly early on in our evaluation process.  One of the questions I asked was whether or not they currently have any Radiology practices using the platform and what the accuracy percentage of the estimates for those groups are.  I was told reference sites would be provided further along in the process.  In my opinion, Radiology claims can be a challenge to estimate accurately due to multiple procedure reductions, payor polices, and other pricing rules and benefit categories that can impact our claims.  We want to be sure the vendor we select will give us estimates we can be confident about.
